Do You Have a Correct Understanding of God's Justice?

About God – Part 9

Listen to podcast audio:

Many today have an incorrect view of God’s justice or want to dismiss it completely in favor of his mercy. Gary Wilkerson and Keith Holloway encourage Christians to study and understand God’s justice in order to have a greater understanding of the love and mercy that he shows us through Jesus Christ.

Key Points from the Podcast

• God, as Creator of all, governs all and he alone makes judgments as to what is morally right and wrong based on his moral perfection.
• We have a perfect judicial system in the justice of God, because he sees all, knows all, and brings the right decision.
• God’s justice works both for the oppressed and against the oppressor.
• God’s laws are an expression of his righteousness and justice by which he chose to relate to mankind.
• Understanding the law of God and how his justice demands punishment for sin is key to understanding our need of Christ as our Savior.
• As we are conformed into the very image of God, our sense of justice and justness will grow.
• Correctly understanding God’s justice will help us also have a correct view of his mercy.
